Ms. Raven Preston

Raven Preston is the coach and facilitator for the 2020-2021 cohort of the "Black Girls' Mental Wealth Academy".

Raven Preston is a co-host of the Planet Venus Podcast and works closely with Dr. V on other projects for Planet Venus Institute. She is currently pursuing a master’s degree in "Rhetoric & Composition and Technical Communication". Her research examines how Black and Indigenous woman who lead community organizations communicate risk during the pandemic and how institutions should value those spaces as legitimate sites of community-based risk communication. On top of being a student, she is a college level composition instructor who teaches from a Black Feminist perspective.
